Vision Forward was founded by Paul LaBate, a proven business development and workforce partnership leader with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations attract, train, and retain talent. Paul has built successful workforce pathways partnerships with more than 50 companies and non-profits throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Helping to develop strong working relationships. Implementing recruitment systems, structured training programs, leading to an increased employee pipelines.
Most recently Paul has served as Director of Development and Area Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley/ AZYouthforce program where he led the Workforce Development and Career Exploration initiatives focusing on employer and employee partnerships and staff training, while implementing strategic programs and studying analytics about workforce initiative programs, budget evaluations, while partnering with more than 32 youth and teen clubs statewide.
Previously, Paul held the positions of Athletic Director and Special Assistant to the President at SAGU American Indian College, overseeing athletics, university fundraising, capital improvement campaigns, and state-wide community engagement. Paul also spent ten years in education as a high school teacher, coach, assistant principal, and athletic director. Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Leadership/Teaching and holds multiple professional development certifications in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, coaching, public speaking, and workforce development training. His career reflects a commitment to helping organizations develop strong cultures, talent pipelines, and future-ready leadership.
Personally, Paul has two children Macie 14, and Collin 13. He volunteers in his spare time, coaching his sons and daughters youth sports teams, while also serving on multiple secondary education boards. Paul is engaged to Franccesca Cruz- Ortega of Puerto Rico, who also sits on multiple corporate boards, holding the position of Financial Controller for one of the largest non-profits in the state, supporting economic development through access to capital projects in areas like affordable housing, healthcare, and education.
